​If thou wilt ​​​diligently​ ​​​hearken​ to the voice of the ​​Lord​​ thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and ​​​keep​ all his statutes, I will put none of these ​​​diseases​ upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I ​am​ the ​​Lord​​ that ​​​healeth​ thee.

We may not have the diseases of the Egyptians on us, but we certainly have worldly maladies circling around us daily. 

When we hearken to His voice, do what is right, and keep the commandments, Christ will protect us from the ill effects of the world. It doesn’t mean we’ll be spared the heartache, pain, and suffering of the mortal experience. But He promises healing. He continues to ask, “Don’t you recognize My power? I could do this for the children of Israel and I can do it for you. Keep your part of the covenant and I will certainly keep Mine.”
