Matthew 21:9; Luke 19:39–40

Matthew 21:9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

Luke 19:39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.

Luke 19:40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

My heart is so full right now as I prepare for Easter.

As part of an Easter program I participated in, we sang “Hosanna, Hosanna, thy Savior has come.” Those words have been running through my head.

Hosanna means “Save us now.” That is the cry that’s continually in my heart.

He is our Savior. He saves us now and always when we cry to Him.

I added the additional Luke verses because the principle is so poignant. If the people would have stopped crying for Him, the very rocks would cry out.

He is magnificent and marvelous. We can add our cries to the many.
