Joshua 22:5

But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

This is one of the main themes Joshua tried to convey to the children of Israel as he neared the end of his life. But that context doesn’t really matter. This is the theme of every story in the scriptures and the history of mankind. It’s the covenant we make with Jehovah.

Yield to these teachings:

1. Love the Lord

2. Walk in His ways

3. Keep His commandments

4. Cleave unto Him

5. Serve Him with everything you have (not just some)

When we do these things, we have the power to claim blessings far beyond what we deserve or have earned. They come from His love for us because we have kept our part of the covenant (the numbered list above).
