Deuteronomy 30:19–20

19 … choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

20 That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days…

There are so many voices in the world today, clamoring for our attention. It seems like everyone has an agenda, a cause that controls them. Everyone has an opinion. Everyone knows another’s motives, another’s actions, another’s heart, even when all they have to go on is reports in the media.

Voices, sharpened with hate and fear and malice, slice through airwaves and across screens, flinging threats and accusations.

It’s all too much.

The only voice I want to focus on is the Savior’s. His is a voice of love, a voice of calm, a voice of peace, a voice of light, a voice of direction, a voice of reason, a voice of comfort. His is the voice of life.

Our challenge each day is to ignore the other voices, until they fade away. Our best hope is to cleave to the voice of the Master and continue forward. No other opinions, pursuits, agendas matter.
