5 … Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord.

These words of the Lord to Hezekiah in a time of great affliction are also the words of the Lord to us in our personal afflictions.
I have heard your prayers, I have seen your tears, and I will heal you. My power and mercy are greater than mortality and the sorrow and challenges it brings.
Go to the temple often and be reminded about eternity and the long perspective and the power of covenants. The things we go through here are temporary at best. But we can adjust our eye sight to see things as God sees them.
He will deliver us from earthy care and sorrow. The long view helps us remember what it’s all for and why the struggle is worth it.
We are never alone. He is always near. And He will lift us through (not always out of, but through) our fiery furnaces.
